February News!

WEll, I haven't blogged in a while so I thought i'd bring you up to speed on things at the Heer Household:o) We have all been really sick for the last month, one of us will get over it and another ones gets it then it goes back to the first person that got over it......it's terrible, we just keep passing it around!! One day when it was warm, I opened my doors to air out the house thinking that MIGHT help, but it didn't seem to!!!
I have my tonsils taken out on March 17...and I'm very scared about it! I do NOT like having any kind of surgery!!! I'm hoping all goes well, and that I feel better once i'm recovered! I was better for about 2 weeks and my soar throat came back a few days ago, so i'm sure that I will feel better once this is all over with!
We had to take Easton to the Dr. yesterday, he's been REALLY pale, dizzy, headaches, and fever for about 3 days in a row, he kept telling me that he could feel his heartbeat in his eyes, like his eyes were pulsating...........he had felt this way before when the doctor wanted to change his diet a little to see if that helped him feel any better and it did, but then he started feeling this way and it just scares me when he gets sick!! Anyway, the doctor said that he has an ear infection and a sinus infection, so I'm hoping that that's all it is and he gets to feeling better!!! The poor little guy, I just hate it when I don't know what's wrong with him, I can't imagine losing him!!! And that's what I always fear when he feels these strange ways!!! He's on antibiotic now so hopefully he will start feeling better!
Malorie has BasketBall tournaments today and tomorrow, however we aren't going on Sunday, I think it's still to have sports on Sunday(just my opionion) We have to go all the way to Hamilton Indiana today for an ALL day tournament!!! I really can't wait until BasketBall is over!! Jess plays on the Bird Lake Church team every Sat. night so we pretty much sit at Basketball games all day on Sat.
Jess is feeling a litte discouraged about his job lately! He has a great job, I think he's just frusterated with his boss and one co-worker.....I hope and pray that things will get better for him and he'll see what a good job he has!! I'm so thankful that he has this job, he's worked there for 12 yrs, and I hate for him to just throw that away!
Anyway, i've been babbeling on and on..........I need to go back to bed!!

SNOWMAN '09

We decided to go outside and play today, we built our little snowman and made snow angels and then had a snowball fight!!! It felt good to go outside and play for a change:o) This picture is when it was like -20 below zero, we boiled water and took it outside and threw it in the air, and it just turned to vapor cuz it was SO COLD out!! I thought the picture turned out good!

Friday night we had RuthAnne and Michael over along with RuthAnne's mom and dad, Beth and Ralph and my parents! We had such a great time, it was just like the old days when RuthAnne and I were little, our parents used to get together all the time, only this time WE WERE adults too!!! Les played a game with Malorie and Easton where he said he was going to hypnotise them, they had to listen closely and follow the directions exactly, anyway at the end of it they ended up with black soot all over their faces, it was so FUNNY!!! They really thought he was going to hypnotise them and they were so excited! We laughed so bad!!! We looked at old pictures and RuthAnne did a few impersonations for all of us!!(which she is VERY GOOD at:o)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Today we had Christmas with both sides of our families! This morning we went out to Jess' parents for lunch and gifts.....Easton and Jess went rabbit huntin and Easton got the shoot for the kill, he was SOOOO EXCITED!!! My Mom and Dad got in from West Virginia around 2 or so, and we opened gifts with them and Beth & Ralph and then had supper! We all had a great time, it's so nice to have my parents here for Christmas! Tonight Jess and I are all alone because my mom and dad were staying at Beth's house and my kids wanted to stay there too! So, we didn't know what to do with ourselves after everyone left:o) Hope you all had a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! WE DID!!!

We ended up having our Christmas tonight instead of in the morning! Jess' mom and dad came up around 5 and the kids opened their presents! It was over in 6 minutes, I timed it!!!

Today we baked cookies and gave them to some of our neighbors! I was baking from 10am to 3pm........and I was tired! The kids helped me clean house, frost the cookies, run to the neighbors and borrow an egg and flour(she got cookies in return though:o) We had a good day, I baked about 5 dozen cookies and 4 pies! I'm all ready for Christmas tomorrow!!! We go to his Mom and Dad's for lunch and then my parents will be HERE for supper!

Christmas with the Crowls

Yesterday we had our annual Christmas with the Crowls! Tim and Kristy came over for the day and the kids just couldn't WAIT to open presents!!! They were so excited! Kristy and I exchange gifts every year but the guys don't buy for each other because they never know what to get the other one!!! So they lose out on getting gifts!! Anyway, we had a good time but by 5 pm, I think all the adults were asleep while the kids played with their new toys!!! At least, I was anyway, I couldn't hold my eyes open, it was terrible!!!! After our nap we ordered pizza and watched The Family Man, which is one of my favorite movies!!! Thanks for being GREAT FRIENDS guys, we enjoyed having you here:o)

Well, I haven't blogged in a while, so I thought i'd better update:o)
We have all been blessed with some kind of bug going around, it seems like we all had something different! Jess was deathly sick, which doesn't happen very often at all! Malorie got a cold, I got another throat infection that I had 4 weeks ago...........so I'm looking at having my tonsils taken out before the end of the year! YEAH!!! (NOT) and then Easton has been having some trouble with his heart, he had been complaining for days that he felt "funny" he didn't really know how to describe it to me, other than that his head felt dizzy and his arms were tingling and his heart just didn't feel right! So, of course, I panic!!! I don't know how many people had told me or asked me if Easton was feeling ok, because they thought he looked sick/pale...........which to me he always looks pale, but I see him everyday so maybe I just wasn't noticing the change that everyone else saw.......this went on for a while and finally I decided maybe there IS something wrong, I'd better have it checked out......so our family Dr. is changing his diet to a high protein-low sugar diet.........he has been on it since last week, and already he says he's feeling better! He goes in next week to have his sugar test done....so I"m hoping that's all it is is his diet, because when he DOES have sugar/caffeine he's bouncing off the walls, and maybe that DOES make his heart feel funny! ANYWAY! Please pray that that is all it is and not something MAJOR that has to do with his heart!!!! He has told me the last 3 days that he feels so much better! I'm so happy that he told me that, because I was really worried!!
On top of that, I found out on Friday, I believe it was, that the guy that attacked me in my home 9 years ago, is out of jail and has just broked into a womans house not far from where I live now! THAT HAS REALLY UPSET ME! Not only fear, but anger that the justice system allows this man to roam the streets! He's not right. obviously. since he keeps doing this sort of thing!!! It makes me SO ANGRY! Because I know what this has done to me and my life and the fact that he's allowed to just keep doing it, is NOT RIGHT! I pray that he gets locked up for good! At least somewhere, whether it be jail or a mental institution!!!

On a lighter note, I'm SO ready for Christmas to be here, my kids have been BEEEGGGGINNGGG to open a present already! I WONDER WHERE THEY GET THAT FROM?!?! So, Jess told them that is was a rule that they can't open one before the 18th(dont ask me why he said that) because I know once the 18th rolls around they WILL REMEMBER THAT and want to open one! I'm not even remotely close to being ready for Christmas as far as shopping goes, but I'm ready to see my kids' faces when they open their gifts! THATS THE BEST PART OF ALL!!!! Although, I DO like presents myself, and I AM A SNOOP, there are NO PRESENTS UNDER THE TREE FOR ME!!! Malorie makes sure to double wrap and tape them so that I can't even PEEK! OF ALL THE NERVE! It just eats at me until I can't stand it, and I'm home alone all day with that present staring at me SCREAMING MY NAME!!!! EVERY YEAR I PEEK AND EVERY YEAR I KNOW WHAT I'M GETTING:o)
Well, I need to get to bed, I see it's almost midnight!!! Hope everyone is well and has a great HOLIDAY SEASON!! Until I type again......ta! ta!

Easton turns 8!!! I can't believe that my baby is 8, it seems like yesterday that my kids were little babies! I miss that so much! Easton has been such a joy in our household, he adds alot of excitement and laughter to our home!
We just had cake and ice cream at home with grandma, aunt Jennifer, aunt Beth, Uncle Ralph, Darren, Dane, Tyler, Taylor, Fred, Trevor and Christian.

Grandma Heer made him a money tree with $20 dollars on it and he LOVED IT!!! Jennifer got him a chicago bears uniform w/ helmet and we got him a new dirt bike/bike, football and playstation game. Aunt Beth gave him money too! That's what he likes the most I think:o)

Wrong Turn Haunted Campground!!!

Beth & Ralph, Steven & Tanj and Jess & I all took the kids and went to a haunted campground Friday night! It was called the Wrong Turn Campground and Me, Malorie, Jess and Darren were the only one's brave enough to go in........it was SCARY but really fun! I fell face first running from a creepy looking guy who was right behind me saying, "Ooooh, you smell goooood!" I was so scared I just fell to the ground and covered my head! We all had a good time, they also had the bloody butcher house, that wasn't as scary as the campground though. I got some pictures, they didn't turn out that great though......

Not sure what I'm going to do with my ornery little boy, Easton! I was at Jennifers today and was going through Easton's backpack...............well as I was emptying it out, I found this paper that had sentences wrote on it and in red it said, "THINK BEFORE YOU ACT". He had to write, I will not throw erasers, I will not throw erasers...................,so I asked him about it and he just starts crying! I still don't know what exactly happened, I'm going to get ahold of his teacher tomorrow and ask her! He had to write the sentences and didn't get to go out for recess! So, I'm sure he didn't like that very well! I guess 2 or 3 other boys were doing it too! He said that he wasn't throwing them AT someone, they were just playing but WHO KNOWS!!! I have a feeling this is just the beginning!!

I posted a picture of his paper that he had to write:o) Actually, I think it's kind of funny, I'm just worried about what's to come.......AAAHH!H!! Everyone KNOWS he acts like his dad, right???

Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions

Jess got 4 tickets to the Lions vs. Bears game at Ford Field!!! The plan was for him and Easton to go with a friend of Jess' and his brother! But, Easton decided the night before that he didn't want to go, so Jess ended up taking Tyler (His sister Jennifers son). All in all, it was probaby better that Easton didn't go, because he probably would've gotten bored and just pestered Jess anyway. So, me and the kids stayed home.

Jess was so excited! He absolutely LOVED it!
Tyler got to shake hands with one of the Lions players, but Jess never got close enough to shake hands or to get his jersey signed! But oh well, at least they had fun!!!

Not much going on here!! Easton got his cast off and just has a velcro thing on that comes on and off! He won't take it off though because he says it hurts when it's not on there! So, I need to make sure and ask the Dr. if that is normal!

Easton recenetly built a fort in the living room behind our tv and he had a whole space set up with food and a phone and I don't what all............but he put a note up that said, "No one aloud in my fort.......from Easton." This was his spelling, not mine!! He is so funny! I got a few pictures of it to post!!!

Mom and dad came up this last week and we all had such a good time! Thurs. Beth, mom and I went to Adrian shopping.......we met with RuthAnne for lunch and then she went along shopping with us! We had so much fun! The guys were stuck home with all the kids so we took advantage of our time alone with no kids:o) Although, they called I don't know how many times to see when we were going to be home!!! Jess suffers from separation anxiety!!! Anyway, on the way home Beth got to talking about when Frank (the weiner dog) died and at one point we were all 3 crying.

That night we all watched the special on the History channel about 9-11 and we were all feeling sick about that. It was terrible!!! Sissy gives granny facial massages b/c she knows granny will pay her!!!! So, I think mom got one everynight!!!

We got Happy Jack a new bed, since he lost his in the fire, and when we got it home he got right in it and he slept in it ALL night! We also got him a new porkipine(sp) toy, he had one that he completely destroyed, he chewed the eyes off of it and tore all the stuffing out of it, but he still played with it, well when we were at the pet store we found one, so I had to buy it for him! HE absolutely loved it. He even had it in his new bed with him! HE's so cute!

I tried to get some pictures of Easton with his cast on, but he didn't really want me to!!! I got a couple but he's in his underwear!!!! The only person he's let sign his cast is Tyler.......I have no idea why he won't let anyone else sign it, you know how he is!!!!

I also got a new comforter for my bed and some new things for my walls in my bedroom...........Kohls were having some major sales Sat. when we went to Adrian. We went out with Michael and Ruthanne again, and had alot of fun! Me and RuthAnne were reminiscing about our past while the guys listened and the kids were being BORED. (as usual:o)

Easton and his friend Christian were playing in the pool on the big white raft, and they were sliding down it and I guess he flopped out of the pool onto the ground................I DON'T KNOW because I wasn't exactly out there when it happened!!! Some mommy I am!!! Anyway, needless to say, he has a broken wrist now! While we were in the ER, Malorie and I, got to laughing SO BAD that we both had tears!!! She just started giggling and couldn't stop, so then I started laughing at her and WE COULD NOT STOP LAUGHING! Jess was getting mad and embarrassed at us because he said, you don't laugh in an ER!!!!! So, I said, well I'd be more embarrassed about those tree trunks growing out of your nose, than US LAUGHING!!!!! ANYWAY!! That's the scoop!!!! I'm not sure what he's going to do in school, since he's left handed and broke his left wrist!!!!!

This was Malorie and Eastons FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!! I was so excited! They were too!
After school, they both said they had a really good day and that they both liked their teachers! I was so nervous for them, but they had a great day!

Malorie is in 5th grade and Easton is in 2nd. They are getting so big!

Mom and Dad came up last Tues., and stayed until Friday! We had a good time, they came up on Dad's trike, so he had to take the kids on rides! Easton thought he was so cool, he grinned from ear to ear!!!

The first picture is of Malorie and Happy Jack, he's her baby, she spoils him rotten!!!!These are a few pictures of Malorie and Easton at Mackinac............Jess' boss pays for a vacaction every summer and this year he took us all (all the workers and their families) to Mackinac. He pays for gas, lodging, the ferry boat ride to the Island, one large meal, and $200 spending money. He has a wonderful boss who has treated us so well over the years, he couldn't really ask for a better job! We're so thankful for the good job that he has!!!

This is the little baby that I started babysitting for........I only have him 5-6 times a month from 5pm to 5am. I had him for the first time on Monday and he did so well.........he slept from 11:30pm to 5am when his daddy came to pick him up! He is so cute! We are all so excited to have him, it kind of takes the urge away for wanting another one, I can enjoy him and then give him back to Mommy and Daddy. His mommy works with Beth at Hicksville Hospital and his daddy is a cop here in West Unity.

Here are a few pictures of the house! IT's a disaster area right now but we've made a little progress and wanted to show you!!!! They are coming Thurs. to lay the tile in the kitchen and dining room! And, the contractor is coming tomorrow to finish the molding around the top of the cabinets and the window! Once the flooring is in, he'll come and do the baseboards. I CAN'T WAIT TILL THIS IS ALL DONE!!! It's going to look really nice but right now I don't see it.......we've had boxes after boxes to empty and put away! I can't put half the stuff away because the guy didn't want me filling up my cabinets since he still has to put the molding on.......... I'm just so glad to be home!!!!!!

SISSY ROO'S 10th BIRTHDAY!!!!!

I can't believe that Malorie is 10! It doesn't even seem possible! We went to the Kunkle parade and had a little get together at G-ma's house. She got clothes and money and that's exactly what she wanted!!!! Typical girl! She spent the money she got on MORE CLOTHES!!!!!! ( i might add that she's just like her mommy:o)

I'm adding some pictures of her birthday and of the house........I have to take some more pictures because they have the carpet in the living room, hall and stairs. It looks so nice! We moved in on Friday! We were all SO READY to come home!!!!

I also added the picture of Easton and Zach on his Harley..........Easton thought he was so cool!!!

Progress on the house

We've actually made quite a bit of progress on the house! They have the drywall finished and the ceilings textured and the cabinets are ordered and hopefully they'll be here on the 16th. So, we just have to get the ServiceMaster people in to clean and paint everything and then get the flooring put down and we'll be able to get moved in, HOPEFULLY!!!!! I can't wait! I am so homesick right now!!
Plus, my mom and dad were just up here and the kids went back with them to West Virginia....they are planning on staying for 2 weeks this summer!! I've talked to them every day and neither one of them are ready to come home yet! They are having so much fun!!! But, I sure do miss them!!!! IT's not the same around home without the kids! It's just me and Happy Jack while Jess is at work!
Today is our anniversary and Jess took Thurs. and Friday off, so we've had a long weekend just the two of us! It's been so nice! Yesterday Jess and I got massages and boy were they nice!!! I could handle that about EVERY DAY!!!!!
I tried again to post pictures but the computer isn't letting me for some reason!!!

Well, there's been so much going on lately that I haven't had the opportunity to update my blog......so here goes!
A couple of weeks ago Jess' friend from work came over and gave the kids a wild rabbit, that the kids named Thumper. He was adorable! We had him for I think 2 days and he died. Easton sobbed over it, he loved that bunny so much! So, Jess and E took him up to our "real" house and buried him in my flower bed, and Easton wrote THUMPER on a huge rock and put it over him! It was so cute! Later that day, Easton kept saying, "I feel like I just want to hold that bunny, Mom". He took it so hard for only having it for a couple of days!!! He's got a HUGE heart for animals, that's for sure!!!

Easton thinks that Zach is the coolest guy ever, so Zach took him on his Harley for a short ride and boy did that makes Easton's day!!!

Rental House

I am posting a few pictures of the rental house we moved into Friday! It's a cute house but small!!! We feel kind of at home, at least we have our own beds and furniture. I'm still HOME SICK though! I can't wait to just go home! The kids like living here because it's kind of in the country and there's a creek out back. I don't know how many times Easton has changed his clothes in one day from falling in or just getting plain muddy!!! He loves it!

One of Malorie's friends from school lives next to us and they've been playing alot, so she enjoys it too!

The people that own the house weren't going to let us keep Happy there since they had just remodeled the house and put new flooring throughout...........but we decided we weren't going to stay if we couldn't keep Happy...............so Jess called and said we were just going to do something else, and they said, well since it's just temporary, I guess you can keep him here! I was so HAPPY that Happy could stay:o)

Thursday night RuthAnne and Michael invited us over and took us out for dinner! We had such a good time in Bob Evans......we laughed and laughed!! It was so much fun! Just talking about life and trying to keep our minds off of our troubles! Of course, RuthAnne and I are never at a loss at what to talk about:o)

We are hopefully moving some day this week.....I can't wait to get settled in somewhere and relax a little! It won't be like home, but it will be better than no place at all! I KNOW we are welcome to stay here with Jess' mom and dad......but 3 months is a loooong time to impose on someone!!! We all miss our beds, including Happy, he's not sure where he belongs right now, poor little guy!!! I am SO homesick I can't hardly stand it........I JUST WANT TO GO HOME!!!!!! Alot of people from Jess' moms church have brought in food and it has been SO nice, I'm so thankful to everyone that has helped us out in one way or another!!! I don't know what we'd do without Jess' parents.........their always there when we need them!

BUSY BUSY BUSY

Well this has been one of the busiest weeks of my life!!! We have SOOO much to do...........this week we spent alot of days trying to find a place to live.....the apartment we were hoping to move into at first ended up being REALLY GROSS, so we decided NOT to move there!! Then last Sat. a couple offered us a house that they had bought at auction, because they had their house listed and were hoping to sell it and move into the new house.......they had their house on the market for a LONG time well, this week they got an offer on their house and are selling it, and they need the new house for themselves to move into. So, that blew that house out of the water. So we were back to square one again! We did however find a cute little house that has been COMPLETELY REMODELED and is for sale.....the owners are being kind enough to let us rent it from them for a couple of months! I was so excited!!! It was so nice of them to do that for us!!!
Jess has made alot of progress on the house! He has the kitchen almost down to the studs and is working on the basement landing today~ E and Grandpa have been helping him for the last two days. I am going to post some pictures later of what it looks like!!
I guess that's all for now!!!

Well let's see~ This is what I came home to today!! I left to go uptown to get the mail, go to the gas station and some other running! I got out of the Jeep at home and could smell something burning~ I went into the garage and could see smoke coming out of the door to the kitchen and I opened it and all I could see was BLACK! I called Jess, and he said, did you call 911, i said NO!! So I hung up and called and thankfully the dog was tied out and NOT in the house!! While I was getting him out of the way for the fire trucks, i could see flames in the kitchen windows! I was so upset I hung up on Jess. The kids are having a hard time tonight but all in all, we're ok!!!!

We will be staying with Jess' mom this weekend(they are out of town, so we have the house to ourselves) And then next week, we are hopefully moving into an apartment uptown! It's a 3 bedroom 1500 sq. ft. apartment, that's as big as my house was! So that will be great! We'll probably live there until the contractors are finished with all of the work in the house...New Kitchen, drywall, windows, carpet..etc. So it will be a few months!!!!

1) What I was doing 10 years ago: I was almost 7 months pregnant with my first baby, so I was probably ready to NOT be pregnant -

2)Five things on my to-do list today:-Clean my garage, clean the basement, finish painting, sit in the sun for a while and go for a walk!!!

4)Things I would do if I were a billionaire:I would pay off all of my debt and my families debt and randomly give money to people I feel could use it, but do it without them knowing it was me-

Malorie gets her cast off!!!

Tuesday Malorie got her cast off! YEAH!!! Trevor went with us and they got to laughing at an old lady in the waiting room that talked funny! She thought they were brother and sister.

Anyway, Malorie laughed the whole time they were cutting her cast off b/c she said it tickled! She got to laughing so bad, she almost cried! When you get these two together you never know what's going to happen! I'm glad they're close though!!
Trevor is Jess' sisters boy, they are 9 mos. apart and are in the same grade at school!

Oh to be a kid again!!!

Malorie had a friend over and Easton had Trevor over and they were playing TV announcers and pretending to be homeless people. I thought they were hilarious, thought you might enjoy:o) CRAZY KIDS!!!

This is a picture of Malorie and Easton on one of the days that it was close to 70 degrees:o) Easton figured out if he runs over a pop can it will stick and make his bike sound like a dirt bike or motorcycle! I feel sorry for our neighbors!!! The date on my camera is wrong, I think. So don't pay any attention to that!!

Easton was looking for his ball that happy took off with and it was behind the chair, I look over and he fell off the back of the chair and pulled my curtain down!!

Easton also wants to buy a polor bear, because he saw a commercial on tv about them becoming extinct, because their environment is melting and they can't find food! He was so upset about this that he wanted me to call so we could buy one so it could have food! Well, I said where are we going to keep it? And he said, with eyes as big as quarters, "we can use Tipper's cage, b/c they don't even use it anymore!!!!" Tipper is Jennifer's dog!

I just cracked up! Yeah, we're going to buy a polor bear!! Uh huh! RIGHT!!!

This was a fun evening, we went to Beth and Ralph's and played games, we haven't done that for so long. We had a really good time! We used to get together every Sunday night when all of our kids were little and we lived just around the corner from each other, but now with school and jobs, we don't get together as much as we'd like to. SO now when we do we appreciate it and truly enjoy it!
Laughter is the best medicine! And, during this BLAH winter.....it sure does you good to laugh, and we did tonight!

We have our house for sale too!

Well, like my sister, we also have our house for sale! NOT A GOOD TIME TO SELL AT ALL! We have had NO action! We've even reduced our price, because we found a house we really liked and put an offer on it.........hopeing that our's would sell!! WRONG! That offer expires on the 3oth of this month. SO, I think we're out of luck! SO, we're thinking maybe we'll just stay here and do an addition and remodeling! I really do love my house! It just needs some tweaking to work for us in the long run:o)
